Recently, the 9th Congress of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Science and Technology Association was held in Nanning, where 30 winners of the 17th Guangxi Youth Science and Technology Award were commended. Liu Ning, Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Lan Tianli, Chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and Meng Qinghai, Full time Vice Chairman and Secretary of the Secretariat of the China Association for Science and Technology, jointly presented awards to the winners. Professor Zhang Yiyi from the School of Electrical Engineering, Professor Luo Nengneng from the School of Resources, Environment and Materials, Professor Zhao Zhenxia from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, and Professor Xie Fei from the School of Physical Science and Engineering Technology have been awarded this honor.
The selection of the Guangxi Youth Science and Technology Award is jointly organized by the Organization Department of the Party Committee of the Autonomous Region, the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of the Autonomous Region, the Association for Science and Technology of the Autonomous Region, and the Guangxi District Committee of the Communist Youth League. It is conducted every two years and no more than 30 people are awarded each time. The purpose of this selection is to stimulate the innovation and creativity enthusiasm of young scientific and technological workers in Guangxi, guide them to adhere to the "four orientations", actively engage in economic construction and scientific and technological innovation, strive to accurately grasp the new development stage, seize and make good use of new development opportunities, fully implement the new development concept, actively integrate into the new development pattern, actively act, make contributions, innovate and strive for excellence, promote scientific and technological self-reliance and contribute wisdom to the high-quality development of Guangxi.
